Dayton “Tambourine Jesus” Stone, the twice-exorcised son of a preacher, hails from the Seattle area. There, he developed his sultry voice and unique song-writing style. After the church's ex-communication of his family, he lived a rambling life, including a brief stint in a fringe religious commune in South Carolina. (This is where the second exorcism took place, to little effect, considering he still carries with him the mega-demon Mathias (according to various clergymen)). In 2014 his pilgrimage landed him in Denver, where he was to hang his tambourine for the next few years.
One rainy October night in 2014, Dayton stumbled into the Squire Lounge’s open jam, where he would, unbeknownst to him, meet his future band mates: Tony Milano, Nick Milano, Peter Warekois, and Jon Arckey. The Brothers Milano incubated their dual guitar sound from a young age, while living an equally transient lifestyle. They landed in Denver in 2013 and have been a part of the local scene ever since. Peter “Classic Pete” Warekois, from the “Los Angeles” area of “California,” lends his tasteful, yet meaty bass (adjectives that are equally representative of his personality) to the mix. This line-up would eventually become Dayton Stone and The Undertones.
